Chiropractic care in Nisku for people who put their bodies to the test — on the job and off the clock

Chiropractic care built around your life

If you're the kind of person who puts your body to work — on the job, in the saddle, or out playing with your kids — you already know the toll it takes. Sore mornings. Tight shoulders. That ache that never quite goes away.

Here's what makes this different: I've been there. Grew up on a farm, spent years in the trades, played CIS football and Div 1 rugby — I know what it's like to ask a lot of your body and still need it to show up tomorrow. It's just you and me every visit, no cookie-cutter routine — just a plan built uniquely around your body and your life.

I'm Dr. Ryan Block

Chiropractor, former athlete, and farm kid from Olds, Alberta.

I'm Dr. Ryan Block — chiropractor, former athlete, and farm kid from Olds, Alberta. My own journey into this field started with a back injury back in high school, and the chiropractor who got me through it lit a fire that never really went out. I went on to play football for the U of A Golden Bears, spent a couple years back on the farm framing before chasing this dream for real, and eventually graduated valedictorian from Palmer College of Chiropractic — one of the top chiropractic schools in the world.

Since then I've added certifications in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and the McKenzie Method, on top of years of hands-on experience treating people who ask a lot of their bodies for a living. I opened Block Chiropractic Clinic because I wanted to build a practice the way I'd want it built for me — direct, personal, and focused on actually fixing the problem, not just managing it.

I'm also a Certified Animal Chiropractor, and I run a separate mobile practice adjusting horses and dogs — work that's given me an even deeper understanding of movement, biomechanics, and how bodies compensate when something's off.

Outside the clinic, you'll find me playing football, or spending time with my wife and kids, and our horses.

How I Can Help You Move and Feel Better

Initial Treatment

Your first visit is where we figure out what's actually going on. We'll talk through your history, how you got here, and where you want to go — then move into a full movement assessment to see what's working and what's not. From there, you'll get targeted soft tissue work, a quality adjustment, and a game plan to build on — plus exercises to keep working on at home between visits. You'll leave knowing exactly what's wrong and what we're doing about it.

45 minutes  | $130

A chiropractor is performing an examination or treatment on a male patient who is seated on an examination table in a medical office. The chiropractor is standing behind the patient, supporting his neck with his hands, while the patient looks down with eyes closed. The room is well-lit with a large window, and framed anatomical artwork hangs on the wall.

Follow-Up Treatment

Every visit builds on the last one — never the same routine on repeat. We check in on how you've been since we last saw each other, adjust the plan and your at-home exercises as needed, and keep the progress moving forward.

20 minutes | $70

Pediatric Care

Same hands-on, one-on-one approach — just tailored for growing bodies. For kids 12 and under, we adjust the history, assessment, and treatment to fit their age and stage, with the same focus on figuring out what's going on and keeping them moving well.

Mission:

leading-edge biomechanical care — manual adjusting, soft tissue work, and specific rehab — to get the "system" running optimally again, not just chasing symptoms.

Three things every visit is built on

Proper movement

Treatment starts with how you move, not just where you're sore. Adjustments are aimed at restoring function, not chasing symptoms.

Rehabilitation

Care doesn't end at the table. Where it helps, you'll leave with specific work to do between visits, so progress holds outside the clinic.

A clear plan forward

You'll know what was found, why it matters, and what happens next — in plain terms, before you leave the room.
